26 WEEKS

Today we are 26 weeks! Getting closer and closer!! If we are to come early, we should be here in 10-12 weeks like most twins do. I wonder what it is like to be free and breathe air and cry and annoy our parents? We will see soon!! We are making our mommy blow up like a balloon! She keeps getting swollen ankles and feet. I can't wait to meet my daddy, grandma's, grandpa's, great-grandma's, auntie's and cousins!

I am so bummed because I have to go get the three hour glucose test. My blood sugar was a little high. Passing is 140 and below and I was 151. She said it will more than likely be ok, but just wants to be sure since I am having twins. This means I have to sit at the doctors for three hours and get blood drawn 3 times every hour. Boo Hoo! She also said my blood count is low so now I must take big fat Iron pills. Next week I make my way to CA to visit the fam and to be blessed with 2 baby showers! We feel so blessed!!

How your baby's growing: Your babies now weigh a little under 2 pounds and measure about 14 inches, from head to heel. The nerve pathways in their ears are developing, which means their responses to sound are growing more consistent. Their lungs are developing now, too, as they continue to take small breaths of amniotic fluid — good practice for when they are born and takes that first breath of air. If you're having a boy, his testicles are beginning to descend into his scrotum — a trip that will take about two to three days.
