ALMOST THERE- 30 WEEKS!

On May 15th we started our childbirth/breastfeeding classes. It was funny during the childbirth classes. We had to sit on the floor, Nathan hold me up and I had to breathe deep soothing breaths of hospital air. Nathan keep telling me jokes the whole time, so we were just sitting there acting like junior highers while everyone was serious. The teacher told me to bring Nathan to both classes. I thought it was kind of funny that they would ask Nathan to come to the breastfeeding class too.

We arrived at the hospital for the class last Tuesday. Ofcourse, he ended up being the only husband there. All the women sitting in the circle smiled. Nathan whispered to me, "Hey, can I leave?" He started to turn red. I told him to go ahead, I wouldn't torture him like that. I was so glad he left because the video showed way too many nasty boobies. On top of that we had to pretend we were breastfeeding (over the clothes) with the cabbage patch dolls, while the teacher showed us examples with the fake boob. I give Nathan kudos for coming to the class without one complaint.

On May 16th, I had another sonogram. The babies are now 2lbs 14 oz each, which is really great for twins. They normally have issues keeping the weight of both babies close to the same. I would say by today they are probably about 3 pounds each and believe me I can feel every ounce.

A lady at church told me her grand-baby twin girls were 7 to 8 pounds each. I couldn't even imagine it. I would need a crane to hold my belly up! I know it would be worth it for the sake of their health.

How your baby's growing: This week, your baby measures about 16 inches long. He weighs a little over 3 pounds and is headed for a growth spurt. He can turn his head from side to side, and he's beginning to accumulate a layer of fat underneath his skin in preparation for life as a newborn. As a result, his arms, legs, and body are filling out.

My Baby Shower at Vivian's Home

All my cousin's gathered at Vivian's Home on May 6th, at 1pm for the "babies" shower. It was great seeing everyone in this intimate setting. We ate Togo's Deli sandwhiches and deli type side dishes. It was very good. The cute blue cake was very good as well.

It was so nice seeing all the Mannina/ Bilello/Sala side of the family, since I have not seen them for about a year and a half. They are so fun and have great senses of humor. I always have great fun when I am around them. I love everyone of you!

We are hoping to come out to California with the babies right around Christmas. 2-3 weeks should be a good amount of time to spend with everyone. Hopefully, the cousin's party will be a little closer to Christmas so everyone can see the babies. They will be about 6 months at that time.

We received so many generous gifts cards, money, clothing and practical items for the boys. We feel so greatful for all you gave and put into the shower.

28 Weeks in CA

I arrived with my friend Jordan at LAX on April 26th. The plane ride was ok, but I felt terrible once I got off the plane because my ankles were really swollen and I felt bloated.

We went to my dad's for the first few days, then to Charlene's house. Annmarie, Charlene, Amy and Penny threw my shower at Annmarie's home. Everyone worked so hard on it. Amy went crazy with all the food, it was yummy, especially the spinach dip. Thank you to all who gave me the shower and gifts, it was awesome! It was great to see all my old friends.

We got to eat at all my favorite restaurants like In & Out, Claim Jumper, Red Robin, Chuy's and Fillipi's Italian Grotto. I figured that I would gain all the rest of my pregnancy weight out there with all the eating out we did. We walked a whole bunch, I wanted to take advantage of all the concrete sidewalks I could (it's either dirt or rock driveway here).

That night we made our way to Nathan's families home and crashed. That Sat they invited the rest of the family over and we ate chimichangas. Sunday we made our way out to La Mirada because I wanted to show Jordan all the touristy things like Hollywood and Beverly Hills. We first stopped in the fashion district. No offense but that place was so dirty and stinky. I couldn't stand to even be there, it was so crowded with people and shops with the same junk row after row.

That Sunday after going to Revival Christian Fellowship, I took Jordan back to La Mirada and she flew back home on Monday with all the items received from the first baby shower. We had a great time!
